I was fishing the Vedder in Chilliwack on Sunday morning and discovered when I got home that I had lost my backpack on the river, or left by vehicle or someone picked it up when I wasn't looking. (have posted in lost and found). So I decide to go back and take a look to see if I could find it which took over an hour to get there from my place and found nothing. Had crossed the river that day with a friend earlier but was now by myself this time which made it harder. My luck I fell in but was able to get back up. Good thing for wearing a belt around my wadders but still got wet. Basically had to spend the hour driving back all wet and still missing my backpack with all my gear. Was fishing around the rapids by the slab below upper fishing boundary on both sides. Does anyone know how long of a hike it is if you drive the back road which takes you to the other side of the rapids which allows you to not have to cross the river? After falling it made me think I rather hike down rather than crossing the river. FYI I also have a reward if anyone finds backpack.
