Chilliwack River, October 14th 2011
« on: October 14, 2011, 03:04:52 PM »

Another excellent morning of coho salmon fishing. Well, ours was not as good as what were reported yesterday, but between 8:00am and 10:00am was pretty consistent. River condition remained very good. A more detailed report will come later. :)

Have a great fishing weekend!

The salmon regulations of Chilliwack River and daily quota of each salmon species can be found in Region 2 of the Freshwater salmon supplement.

You can only keep FOUR salmon in total per day, which means if you keep four hatchery coho salmon, you can't keep anymore chinook, pink or chum salmon.

Yes but if you fish with your wife you can keep 8. I can gaurantee you that is what happened here.

Don't worry, only one of those hatchery marked adults is mine. ;D

I did say a more detailed story will come later. ;)

The way I see it is, fishyfish was just pointing out the regulations so others don't misunderstand and end up keeping five salmon tomorrow. No offence taken. ;)

Yowser I thought Rod got busted when he showed that pic of the lawless 5. Good thing he had a good alibi. :) I bought a licence under my dogs name when they get above 4. ;)

At one time I took Rodney to the Hot Spots, I guess he better take me know as I have only one hatchery adult to the beach this season along with 3 chinooks jacks and 2 coho jack. Oh must not forget the pike minnow too. ;D ;D
Lost a fish of some sorts today but did not see many caught in my neck of the woods, one coho jack and a chum. Of course I stay away of the crowds as much as possible excerpt when cleaning up the garbage they leave behind. As well witnessing all the questionable fishing practices that go on hurt me deeply. Yesterday while cleaning up some garbage on the bar a half mile above the hydro bridge saw a fly guy pull in a female pink backwards, caught in the tail, bonk. :'( >:(

I guess he thought no one saw that, did not bother to go and tell him either, waste of time as it would be a full time job doing so and would shorten ones life one way or another, stress being one. ::)
