Stave River, October 22nd 2011
« on: October 22, 2011, 06:54:57 PM »

someone was looking for Stave info so here my play by play from today

after an afternoon hike yesterday I dashed to the river, ten minutes later...

shortly after arriving this morning this chrome, wish i had known about the fixed typo in the in season updates as its back to two fish over 35 cm lol Damn...
anyway I then had a look around while waiting for the incoming tide after lunch, I found alot of gear...

then once the tide started to flow in it was chum everywhere, def better than last year, though its been in decline for several years now
got one super chrome too

not bad this year from where Ive been Ive not seen to many long liners, saw one gutted wild coho yesterday  ???  one idiot who left his dog in his Toyota and went fishing
wish I wasn't working through October that's a first for me!

That was, me thanks very much for the post. My 83 year old dad gets grumpy when theres no action. I didn't go last year. Sounds like I didn't miss much. The previous two years were unbelievable. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Great report and nice fish :) Just want to make sure I'm not getting anything wrong here but, you are allowed to retain 2 chum, 4 hatchery coho, only two over 35cm on the Stave. Correct me if I'm wrong please because I'm a bit confused.
