i bought one from C tire too last month cuz my old one started to leak here and there.  good light weight and easy to put on and get off, but the bootfoot was terrible. it almost doesn't seem to grip at all on slippery rocks.  I agree that Bare and Hodgman are great for the price.  Protac Milano isn't bad too.
doesn't matter where stuffs are made in i guess.  you get what you paid for.

I have been wearing the canadian tire cheapo's with felt I glued on to the bottom for traction. They have many leaks in the bottom of the foot. The bottom sole has cracked. The more sealers I put in the cracks the more cracks need sealing. I think i am going a step up. Thank you for the advice on brands.

Bite the bullet and invest a couple hundred in a good pair of waders.
BARE has the best warranty and it's a local company.

As with everything, you get what you pay for.

I bought a pair of these this year and they seem to be holding up so far. Bought my boots local and think my next pair of waders I'll do the same. Support our local retailers.

disagree mine started leaking after less then a year, my patch has lasted almost as long as before they leaked 
but i do like the way they fit, but i think its time to bite the bullet and buy simms

I have a pair of the 5mm Cabelas neoprene waders that I paid about $95 for a couple years ago, and hodgeman felt soled boots that I bought about 5 years ago at A&N. So far, the combination has been great! Nothing fancy, but I really don't look after them at all, just toss them in the work room when I get back from fishing. So far so good, no leaks. They are a bit toasty in the summer but I'd rather be too warm in the summer than too cold in the winter....

Get neoprene, if you what a good durable wader for a low price,
If you want breathables the best bang for your buck would have to be the simms freestones. There a tough wader, fairly priced, and made by a great company.
