If you are only interested in catching and releasing chum salmon, then consider the Chilliwack River as well. We were there today and quite a few chum salmon, some pretty fresh, were showing in slower waters that are suitable for fly fishing. Since retention remains closed for Chilliwack River unlike other systems, it should remain pretty quiet in terms of angling pressure. We were fishing by ourselves without a sign of other anglers most of the time today.



I've always had a soft spot for that run, especially the lower part of it...nice fly water.
Did you notice that the beavers have downed most of the trees in the area?
