The Tigerfish in this river system  are the largest in the world....weigh in up to 150 lbs. By looking at the many long vicious teeth ...it reminds me of some sort of prehistoric thing......some natives in the area have scars where this fish has attacked them.
As more tourists from Europe America etc travel to Africa...guess they better put up some signs at the river's edge..."Danger do not swim" or "Swim at your own risk" add pic with skull with 2 cross bones...

The fish (tigerfish)are quite smart as they may study a presentation by an angler for hrs before deciding to bite or not. Bet some of us may experiment with a few lures that this fish will strike on!  The locals were using a bait with 2 hooks....
Why not try some spoons or flatfish on slow troll...buzz bomb maybe... ????

One species gave off an electric charge ...at will as protection / or also to stun it's prey.
The river has it's calmer flowing areas but in the rapids WOW the standing waves are like  10/15 ft high...also many areas have whirl pools.
