Panasonic Lumix FX100
« on: December 17, 2011, 08:17:54 AM »

So the wife took me out last night to find my Xmas gift, went to London Drugs and saw this $499 camera on for $299.
Liked the fact its sporting a Leica lens and is 24x Optical Zoom. Not a photo pro so asking is it a good buy, unfortunately I cant play with it till Xmas morning.

I don't know about the FX100, but I have the ZS7 and think it's great for a compact point and shoot. I just looked at the specs on the FX100 and they showed only a 3.6x optical zoom. Are you sure about the 24x optical zoom?

Whilst I was searching for a new camera I happened to stop in at openbox.ca on Marine drive if anyone is interested they had one Canon rebel eos I think it was for $279 and a sweet Nikon D5000 for $479.
