Chilliwack River, January 10th 2012
« on: January 10, 2012, 10:52:19 AM »

Headed out again this morning, river in perfect condition.  Had come down a bit from yesterday.  Decided to start with roe sacks in the first section.  Nothing doing again there this morning.  Headed up river and thru a pink worm on, about 8 or so casts later, get hit like a freight train and a spirited fight is on!!  After a good tussle this nice bullet doe comes to hand and being that I have to be in Vancouver around noon today I decided that my day would be done again just like that.  Brought  better camera today as well, so got a couple better pics of the doe bullet..lol

And now I don't get to head out till Sunday again at the earliest.... can't wait already...

Tight lines.

8 would be generous, probably 6 or 7. Nice fish regardless. 8)

Lol.. nice.  Fred's scale said 7.62 lbs...for a more accurate number..lol  This one was probably the scrappiest fighter yet this year tho... aerial and went on a couple really decent lil runs for a fish this size...lol :D

definitely nothing to complain about...at this rate you'll reach your limit before the end of the month...seems you've got the touch.  ;)

i'm 0 for 2 and hopefully i can get out more soon!

Saw a fisherman a couple hundred feet below me land a fish on a bright red worm and take pictures. I wonder if that was you.
It was nice cool morning, made all the better by releasing my first steelhead of the year. Was a 10 lb. hatchery buck caught on a spinner.

i hear ya... last year i caught one on my 2nd cast...hatchery buck of about 6lbs.  i let it go because i drove in from Richmond and i wanted to keep fishing... didn't even get a sniff after that and went home after fishing for about 10hrs and 10kms of walking...great day over all, but bittersweet because i was exhausted and let down.
