This is what the Vedder looked like a few minutes ago at Peach Road when I stopped for a boo, no anglers in sight and its -10. That means cold fingers and frozen guides.

I heard that too today. I think it's the national defence or RCMP outdoor firing range in that big metal bunker thing? It's definitely guns of some sort and it is coming from within that area where the police station and military thing is...

Looks like I'll be killing more brain cells making plastic baits for the next few days.  Currently -22 C and with the windchill is -36 C in Kitimat.  Brrrrr!

Heres a shot from 2008 in Kitimat.  I had got off work at 7am and by early afternoon I looked out the window and saw this.   


Last year Environment Canada recorded 99.5 cm in 24hrs in Kitimat.  In reality there was 4 plus feet.  Then in typical Kitimat fashion about a foot of rain will fall over the next day or two creating a gigantic slurpee which ends up in my basement.

That's right and I had wanted a nice quiet clip, thought I should reshoot it but I liked having the eagle in at the start.

Very cold today again, -13 with a strong NE wind.

Been sunny for the last 3 days... and I think I'v seen maybe 3 snow flakes this whole time.
Sunny and somewhat (relatively) warm again today...

Looks pretty tame over there Chris  ,  most the roads out here are closed due to full whiteout.

Yep... were fore casting 1 cm and we got 5 inches.
Not snowing anymore, but the roads are still a mess somehow.
Spent the first 2 hours of my day at the timmies here watching people try to drive up the hill, pretty funny 
Fishing tomorrow bright and early!

The wind has died down some this AM and the driveway had not received much drifting snow overnight. I understand today is the calm before the storm and not looking forward to what is to follow, freezing rain, slush followed by flooding of the Chilliwack Vedder River in the melt.
