Real steelheaders tail their own fish, and the fishing partner is for the camera work  :P

if you boot it and still gets away, all you've done is hurt the fish needlessly.

Don't feel bad guys I lost 3 today, but the only one I got in was a 10 to 12 pound wild buck which I was able to tube for the brood stock program, had some good tussle with the fish that got off. This was all in 90 minutes before I went to Vancouver to take in the trial re the fish farm issue.

One thing is never rush getting fish in as many are lost right at the beach. You will lose more trying to beach them before they are ready. Please don't ask me what happened today, one chap said it was my hooks ;D but I had landed 4 in a row with them before I lost the 3 today.

Losing fish is just part of fishing, seeing the float go down and the feel you have connected with a fish is the most thrilling part, is it not. :-\

that's funny! guess marco and chris shouldve bent it like beckham lol.  almost lost a coho on the beach this year, but pounced on it like a football.
