Anticipating a good day of fishing, both Khim and I decided to get up a bit early. As usual, we stopped by MacDonalds for a quick coffee and tea to keep the hands warm.
When we got down to where we wanted to fish, I quickly snapped a shot of Brown Road. It reminded me of sockeye fishing..fence posting.
I quickly rigged up my usual Jensen Eggs with Pink wool and made my first cast into the riffles. On my third cast the float took a quick dive and I set the hook and the battle was on. The fish took off towards shore and when it felt bottom, it decided to head downstream. This was a strong fish as it kept heading down. It took me about 10 minutes for me to control the fish and bringt it in. It was about a 12lb wild buck.
At this time, someone had steped into my spot so I decided to head down further.
I made a few casts and quickly had another quick take down.
This was another fiesty fish as it jumped and jumped. It took another 10 minutes and I brought it in.
This was about a 12lb wild doe.
I thought to myself, wow this is an amazing day!!!
It slowed down a bit after that as I kept walking down. I decided to lenghten the depth a bit more and on my first cast, the float took a strange dip and I pulled back with nothing.
I made another cast into the same spot and sure enough the float took another hard dive. I set the hook and the battle was on.
This was a smaller fish and I was able to bring it in quickly. It was about an 8lb hatchery buck.
With the hockey game on a 12pm, I decided to disptach off the fish and went home.
