Pondering going to a high vis line for my centre pin have chameleon on now but lose sight of it at times what are you re experiences with high vis line?

Use it quite a bit - handy to know where your line is when playing larger fish with snags around too!

I use Stren - the gold colour - though you must allow for the natural stretch of stren and just leave your knot tags a little longer

I've used lots of hi vis lines and these are the two that I like the best, they are full floating mono lines. The Fine Float is the best of the two but only comes in yellow and is quite expensive. These lines are quite narrow in diameter and are not over rated so if you are used to 20# maxima, try 25# Siglon. The Siglon F comes in blue, orange, pink, and clear.
Also I alway tie on a  5-6' section of Seaguar Flourocarbon to keep my float and weight on so the fish never see the colored line. Try it out! Centerpin Angling and Fish USA I know both carry Siglon and I have ordered from them both

I ordered a bulk spool of P-Line CX Premium (Flourocarbon coated) Hi Vis Fl Green in 30lb for plug pulling Chinook on the Kitimat.  The 30lb is similar in diameter to 20lb Maxima therefore this line worked well on Luna 300 and Calcutta 400 size reels.  Saved me from getting into bigger reels.  The high vis line ensures that all my plugs are out the same distance behind the boat. Thinner lines also help the plugs dive deeper. 

And since I have 3000 yards and the diameter is so thin, I have put it on my centerpin as well with no issues.  I still prefer Maxima Chameleon for my centerpin but in a pinch, this stuff has worked well.

Maxima High Visibility Line

Maxima just introduced a high visability line to its stable. The new bright yellow line will be available on the market soon. The line is just as tough, abrasion resistant and has the knot strength anglers can trust as with other Maxima products. Available in 6- to 40-pounds in one shot spools or bulk spools at your local retailer.

a section of Flouro or Ultra Green that is nail knotted on solves that problem. Your float and weight will never even be on the hi vis line. The best part about floating line is you can lay your line on the water during windy conditions or longer drifts, when your float goes down the line picks right up off the water during your hook set opposed to regular mono that sinks and sags under during your drift.
