Sasamat Lake, April 8th 2012

The bites were few but spread out throughout the evening so there was always something happening. Nina and I got outfished by stratocaster's daughter :o but at least I caught one. ;D Krill cured with Pautzke Bait Fire Cure in red worked well again for us.

Nice meeting you guys again.  It got chilly pretty fast once the sun went down.  I think I will go when its a bit warmer next time. :)

My daughter had a great time.  Funny how catching a couple of fish on her own makes such a big difference.  I guess they are too young to appreciate just being out there in the clean air and that catching fish is just a bonus. :D

Nice job guys!  Stratocaster - would this be a good place to take my daughter?

Yes, when it gets warmer.  Bring lots of bug repellent.

F.M.  I would suggest Whonnock Lake as well.  My son and nephew had a blast catching a bunch of crappies as well as a couple trout last year and seems to be a great memory for both of them.

Glad to hear they were biting - i tried buntzen on the same day for several hours (trolling) and alas only had one weak bite.
Of all the people i talked too and watched, i only saw one fish taken. A 10 inch whitefish. Still quiet slow. :D

I was at Buntzen on Saturday, same deal, I narrowly escaped a skunking myself,no other boats were catching anything that I could see.
Whoonock Lake on Sunday was as difficult also, only thing biting there were the crappies!!
