so I just checked the regulation, hatchery coho fishing is not allowed before June 1 ,
below the bridge at the mouth of capilano river , which is tidal water of area 29

and if im fishing just above the bridge which is the fresh water part of cap, it's ok right?

also I heard before there is some sort of reservation part of cap for the natives, probably around the mouth of the river, anyone can confirm ??

The tidal portion of the Capilano River and Ambleside estuary area is in Area 28, not 29.

The spit on the east side of the mouth of the Cap is FN land.

both sides of the river between the marine drive bridge down to the silver train bridge is native fishing only. Below the train bridge at the mouth of the river is open to you on the west side only and the east side is also native fishing only.Hope this helps! That map is not relevant to your question in relation to boundaries! The squamish nation have fisheries guardians and if you find yourself somewhere you shouldn't, they will simply direct you to the appropriate area of which you are allowed to be. Thos little cohos should start trickling in any day now i.If they haven't already

Actually, native land extends from the east side of the capilano from the marine drive bridge down to the CPR bridge. HOWEVER, native land DOES NOT extend between the entire length from the marine drive bridge adown to the CPR bridge. In fact, anyone can fish a small portion below the bridge.
For those who would like to, you can take a peek at the greater vancouver map and zoom in on the capilano and see for yourself. I am in the works of getting a better map as well.

Actually it is all native land but the public has been allowed to fish from the west side from the train bridge down to the salt chuk!

I haven't fished the mouth for a few years now but when I did I used buzz bombs and spinners. For the most part early morning and following the tides along with good roe will usually give you good results but not at the mouth. In the canyon or anywhere a good pool exists. Good Luck !!!
