Thanks for the information. I was in Revelstoke for a day last year and was saw the Columbia river, It had very fast currents. Thanks again Leaping tyee!!

The Columbia Is dynamite for walleye, you can check my posts from before and I have a few reports and pictures from my yearly trips. I believe Christina Lake has them too.

The columbia was running pretty high when i was up there last year. Higher than normal. Hopefully it will cooperate more for this years trip.

Here is where I know they are for sure.  Columbia river below keenlyside dam (not sure on spelling). Kettle river right near the border (below the falls).

Charlie lake near Fort St. John. Swan lake south of Dawson creek and in the peace river. I have caught them in all these spots except the kettle.  Charlie will give you 100 fish days but some years the run is small (14 inchers). 

Before I would make a trip to Charlie I would consider lesser slave lake in Alberta.  It is unreal for walleye.  The Columbia river can be dynamite in the summer for walleye but when you get there the incredible rainbow fishing can be very distracting for those of us with short attention spans.

Oh yeah I tried Christina but could not prove they were there.  Did have success with lots of small Kokanee and some nice small mouth bass though. Again that short attention span got me side tracked

The rainbow trout fishing on the Columbia is unreal! But we usually spend the morning fishing for walleye, the day for bows and the evening for walleye. Christina does have a lot of smallies under the little docks and the platforms in the lake. Grey and green tube jigs work great.

Are you guys fishing from boats on the Columbia, or is it possible to be do it from the shore? I'm thinking in and around Castlegar.

Pickerel/Walleye are some mighty tasty fish.

I fish from shore with wedding bands and jigs around Trial and Castlegar  Very doable
