salsbury lake mission

has anyone been up there lately?been trying to find info on it but can't seem to find too much.been getting mixed info on the road to there.some say its terrible some say its ok with 4x4.any tips for this lake? any info would be great thanks!

You can make it with 4X4.  We dirtbiked it last year but people were camping up there in their trucks.

What I do remember is there was not much access around the lake other then trail down to the lake from the campsites unless there is another area to access the lakes I'm unaware of.

Did not fish the lake so can't comment on that.

You can get down with a truck no problem, fishing has been good, but there pretty small.

Does it have to be a truck or can a subaru outback make it? What kind of terrain is it? Boulders?

Its mainly rock, subaru shouldn,t have a problem,unless its realy low to the ground.

I made it down with a Delica van a couple of years ago.  I remember the worst part was right at the top, I think it was more of an issue of sharp corner.  Your car should squeak through just like my van did, however I bet you will hit bottom once.

which is the best side to camp?there is a campsite at the south side and  boat launch on the north side.i will be shore fishing.thanks for the info everyone.will be heading up there on the weekend will let you guys know how the fishing is...hopefully its good!

for anyone tryin to get to this lake there is still snow on the last part of the trail.was told roads should be better by mid june
