And so begins the gong show @ Central Park in Burnaby

Play the A-team theme song in your head while reading the article lol:

Kind of sad that I missed all the excitement.  Would have been entertaining watching them trying to find this fish.  I also hope that they have enough sense to search both ponds, not just the one.

"If you've got a fish, that no one else can catch...maybe you can hire the Ministry of Environment... *bang bang bang bang*  ta da da da...."

It's a joke. It's an aquarium fish treat it like one. Setup a feeding area and trap him there. The global news story shows them using the nets... surprised they caught anything.

How exactly would you set up a "feeding area"? Just curious  ;)

Here's an update:

http://home.mytelus.com/telusen/portal/NewsChannel.aspx?ArticleID=news/capfeed/national/18590950.xml&CatID=National

Too bad about the big carp they took away. Should just left it alone.  And that snakehead has probably already been caught by someone, after all the media coverage.

The article is incorrect, no carp or turtles were removed. Other articles correctly report that lots of carp and bullheads and a few turtles were caught and returned to the pond.

Netting is the wrong way to catch something like a Snakehead-what they need is a trotline-simply put a long heavy line with baited hooks every 5 feet and left overnight.

Make sure the hooks are saltwater tough and on 80# mono or even wire the bugger won't go anywhere-I suggest fatty pork chunks for bait.

There should be a hunt for the person that released the fish
