Yep, there's a few bluebacks showing their pretty little faces. I was out with a friend and we had about a dozen bites in the first hour and a half, but only landed three and kept two of those. Then after that it died right down and over the next 6 hours we only had 4 maybe 5 bites between us but I did get one from one of those bites and landed a beauty 5 lber. Nice fish !!!
This was on Thursday the 7th and we arrived at 11 AM and fished till 6:30. Water level was quite excellent, weather, a little nippy once the sun dissappeared but still a very enjoyable day. Timing seems to be everything but one thing I love about these little magaffer's is once they bite, if you don't hook them, they'll bite again. Knowing this for many years now we made it a rule amongst my friends, its called the first bite rule. If said fisherman gets a bite we wait until he rebaits and he gets first crack at the same spot to see if he can catch it. Once he casts it's open season. We just got so tired of seeing someone else zero in and take the fish because they saw him get a bite. Works quite well, is fair and fitting and we always have fun !!!
Here's wishing all of you a safe and happy weekend, smile and have fun. Good Fishing All !!!
