Browning Lake, July 2nd 2012
« on: July 05, 2012, 12:38:04 AM »

After a quick fishing at the Cap for Coho I headed to Browning Lake and was in the water in my float by 9AM. Less than 2 minutes slow trolling with a red/black micro leech the first of twenty+ bow was hooked and released. Green or Black epoxy chironomids with white bead heads were working as were anything black as I shared with other fly anglers who immediately saw results.

Another fellow fly fisherman said it was his second time back to the lake where last week was hot; Couldn't keep them off the hook and they took anything. This weekend was no different even the shore anglers were hooking into some every so often (much less than us though). Silver Docs size 8 on a sink line were my favorite combo and really had the slaying on ... I had poor release skills where while unhooking a catch my fly was sinking in the water and to my amusement I had another catch  :P

It might have been raining the whole day but it was better out fishing than wishing I had gone =)
