We had a family trip planned in Tofino for the week and 3 of us ended up booking a charter with Braedy Mack Charters out of Tofino. We did a 2 day trip and all i can keep saying is wow.
Day 1 we ended up bringing to the dock, 3 chinooks, 6 coho, 3 halibut, and a ling cod.
the action was unbelievable all day long. For about 1 hour straight in the morning it was double header after double header. We had our entire coho limit only 2.5 hours into the charter! Our guide, Captain Jeff, knew all the right spots to go. It seemed that no matter where he took us, he knew what depth, what bait, and when they would hit.
End of day 1, over 30 fish caught to the boat!
Day 2, Jeff decided that we were going to try our luck with Chinook first then get our halibut, then go for coho and more chinook to finish off. The action was not quite as furious but Jeff kept us into fish steadily all day long.
End of day 2 yielded 3 chinook, 2 halibut, 4 coho, 2 rock cod to the docks. We were being a little more selective on sizes today so we didnt get as many fish into the boat, but we still ended up hooking quite a few.
For anyone looking to get an unbelievable charter while in Tofino, i would strongly recommend Captain Jeff with Braedy Mack Charters, for us it was the most fun on the water any of us has ever had and we cannot wait to get back there next summer.
