No worries, I see what you were getting at in a way. These fish as I said before are smoked and given to clients for work. Except one which will be BBQ'd at some point. These are the only fish I keep as I find them and sockeye the best eating and since I don't participate in that fishery I go really hard after the red springs. Well, okay, maybe a coho or two if I really feel in the mood but that is it

Went to the Wack yesterday.
It was pretty quiet for the most part down low. Looks like the nets have had some effect.
In the upper river connected with a spring and faught it for a while. It seemed dark so I just tried to muscle it in.
Then the hook came out and lead hit me close to the eye.
My eye is almost shut now (thankfully it didn't hit me straight in the eye) or that would have been real ugly.
After that got into a few sockeye on yarn.
Lots of fun.

Ya thats happened to me before, horsed in a pink and the pencil lead socked me in the lip, split me open pretty good

Id say its over, in the last two days Ive seen one spring taken and heard of 3 more hooked. And they aren't in that good shape. The sockeye are around and you will get them to hit procured prawns and jigs but that can still get pretty frustrating. Only got a few socks yesterday and I had to work pretty hard for them, had to switch baits every 10 casts to see which one they would bite.

Hey Steely, congratulation to your catches. No need to even tell anybody how you use your fish, all legal catches within the limit. Why the heck we need to explain or justify to strangers on a fishing board, if you are keeping fish within your legal limit. It is none of their business. The only person we need to justify is the wife who may have to cook your catches and who may question why you don't go shopping with her often!
