I would have to say the level is a normal low water height right now. It should be on fire out there as fish will be moving with this water bump and reduction in clarity. Rodney any idea on which slide is coloring the water?

Upper river had 2-3 feet visibility this morning, water levels are great up top, when I hit mid/upper river water level was very high, bank to bank, maybe 1 foot viz, was a great day of fishing, lots of fresh fish :)

  • nothing like the first bite of the season

at 4:30, visibility at mid river was about 2ft...fish are now spread out, but the mid rapids are now a gong show. checked out allison pool and found the carcass of a deer (head) and bear paws laid out above the canyon at the pull out... >:(  some sick **** must have done some illegal hunting and decided to dump the unwanted parts at the side of the road.

not necessarily perhaps  just a lazy hunter who did not want to dispose of the body parts accordingly. Sad especially after the river cleanup folks did such a good job on cleaning up the garbage along the river.

River improved throughout the day to at least 2 feet. I fished only about 30 minutes with Lew as spent some time looking for some new spots as "The Glove" is done. Cleaned up a bit more garbage and found a good number of floats including 2 Drennans. ;D

Heavy rain again so who knows for the AM tomorrow.

The chum sure were happy with the rise in water and are busy finding a mate and making their redds.

Took time to film the ritual while cleaning up the beach at "The Diving Board"

It was likely a lazy hunter that dropped the remains on the side of the road. Poachers take the good parts and leave the remains where they shot the animal.

Just left Lickman Rd. Parking lot, river is still pretty muddy. Foot, maybe foot and a half of visibility.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

It was a doe mule deer. The only place they are in season at the moment is way up north and on a lottery. Looks suspicious to me. Funnily enough we were standing not 10 feet from it BSing with DFO this morning and they didnt seem too concerned by the body parts!!

Things were improving quickly, about 2 feet at Peach, 6:15. However some heavy rain showers so tomorrow is anyones guess.
