indicators with built in weight
« on: September 09, 2012, 04:05:23 PM »

In my basement, I found an indicator with built in weight. I plan to use it for trout in streams. Anyone know if this will work well?

Excuse my obvious question, but what do you need an indicator with weight for?!?

We use floats with a weight built in for casting long distances with light lures or baits on conventional fishing gear but not sure why you would want the same in a strike indicator.  If your indicator is so large it needs to be weighted you probably really are bobber fishing at that point.. :)

I would think it would make it harder to cast and not sure what application they would be good to us for fly fishing.
