I was under the impression that pautzkes eggs were real cured singles..
Never bought a bottle so I cant confirm this.

There's an episode of..... Sport Fishing BC (?) the one with Mark Pendlington.  They go steelheading and they use Pautzke's fire eggs and "cured" them in a Pautzke's cure in a tupperware container and made sacks that way.  They caught fish, but obviously the magic of television would allow them to change bait if it wasn't working and just not tell the audience.  Good show though.

don't believe everything you see :)

someone on this board made and sold some hot dam spinners a couple of years ago( blue beaded). worked especially well really early in the morning.

I did have some good luck with 2 eggers in cheesecloth and puntzied on 4-6's for drifting. hopefully either will work this week.

What I took from the Pautzke egg sac with cure was that the eggs probably didn't matter as much as the cure that they soaked them in. Surely that stuff has a pretty good scent trail.

Those fire eggs work good too for a small presentation, one or two in a spawn sack and a bit of wool.

I wouldnt bother making roe bags with jensen eggs. Single egg on  hook with a small peice of wool is where its at. If you wamt to make rie bags just go to berrys bait amd get a tub of water hardened single eggs and make your own roe bags. If you want you can put one or two jensen eggs with the natural eggs and that wont hurt.

i tried both the single egg with a tuff of white wool and some spawn sacks made with jensen eggs and some white wool

neither prevailed....

but i always find myself saying to.....myself, that its still early and not to get too frusterated
