Went out at first light. launched boat at the barrow town pump station
Very foggy drive out to the launch, quite ominous.
Managed to see one jack landed around 630 am just off shore
Trolled for a few hours and there were a lot of guys out this morning
did not get into any fish so we decided to anchor at a few hot spots... turned out to be cold spots
it was about 10 am now so I headed out to the mouth of the fraser just below the boundary markers.
Was anchored beside the fred's custom tackle boat, sat there chuckin spoons for another half hour Hit one marble jack. bonked it and decided to head back trolling. just after lifting anchor i was letting some line out to get a good troll going and Bam hatch doe coho. netted it and brought out my stogie for the celebration
Tried circling the area but the tide was going out quick and the water levels were around 3-5 ft. caught a tree and with some luck retrieved my lure with a straightened hook
Called it a day and was packed in by noon.
Just finished curing the roe and ready for another morning on the river
Just a beautiful day, sept 15, hot and sunny. All friendly people up and down the river and a few happy seals to boot.
a wonderful morning to spend with the pals in the boat.
