Chehalis River, November 3rd 2012
« on: November 03, 2012, 02:11:49 PM »

Was a wet day out on the river today... normally I hate this river, almost been lost on there a couple times... heard bears and not a whole lot of water to fish for the effort put in.  BUT, I decided to go back i again today and was rewarded with some quick fish until my buddy was to cold and wet and wanted to go home... probably that and he was pissed he wasn't catching anything.  For me roe was the ticket today... wish I could have stayed longer... here are a couple pics.

Great pics and great report, thanks DMW. I sure would love to venture out to the Chehalis again but from New West to the river is over 1 hour 40 minutes according to Google maps. Thats a nice drive, specially in the pouring rain, lol.

Thanks again for the Great report DMW !!!   ;D ;) ;D

we were there too, stayed longer, she is now in full blow...a tree 20 feet from us got uprooted and crashed half way across the river, it was a sight to see it was a big mother of a tree. By the time this rain settles there is gonna be alot of damage along the banks. there was a portion we were standing on along the bank that wasnt there later when we walked back up the river, was wondering what happened as the river instantly went chocolate.

It is gonna be one hell of a mess...

It's still pouring out here in the Wack to... Maybe it'll be a relax on the couch football sunday!! Lol  Was finally a fun day out on the river with some fish that were soooo fresh and willing to hammer on some roe... Unlike the other day when they were taking so light it just felt like a leaf in the water tapping the line.. Lol They made it easy today, didn't loose one as the hook was in there damn good on all of them!  For once... Lol :D

The way the bank was being carved out were we were I wouldnt be suprised to see a crap load of trees strwen throughout the river...it looked like all hell was breaking loose were we were, people were clearing out like the plague hit, no exaggeration...it was wild. Never seen anything like it...mother nature has some big freaking muscles.

Nice report and beautiful fish DMW sounds like it was a crazy storm at chehalis. I'm glad I went to norrish and fished it, the fishing was great and I was able to get some cohos mainly wilds though. Sorry for the bit of a side track, again nice fish.
