Lucky Bug Fishing Lures

Lucky Bug fishing lures are a very effective lure for trout and some species of Salmon. These lures are most commonly trolled but can be cast and retrieved as well with very good success. Lucky Bugs are locally made and available in a huge array of different colour combinations that will get the fish in a biting mood! These lures have a very cool twist to them compared to most conventional lures in that they have feathers glued to them allowing for a nice colour contrast as well as extra movement helping make these lures look alive in the water. Airflo Delta Clear Slow Intermediate Sinking Fly Lines

With beach fishing for salmon now possible and really good beach fishing looming having the right line for the job is essential. The clear slow sinking fly lines are the most effective line to use. Being totally clear these allows for a stealthy approach which is very important in a clear ocean environment. One of our favorite lines for this fishery is the Airflo Delta clear lines in the slow intermediate. Most clear sinking lines are a slow sink but in some beach fisheries they still sink a little too fast and can have your fly snagging in the rocks..no good! The Airflo slow intermediate sinks super super slow hanging just subsurface allowing your fly to be retrieved at a slower speed if desired while not hanging up on the bottom. Hends Fly Tying Hooks

Hends fly tying hooks are far from a house hold staple in BC, most likely because we have a customers of that brings them back for us when he's visiting his kids in Europe and he only brings them to Sea-Run. Once you've tied on them and tried them they'll most likely become a staple on your fly tying bench. Simply put these hooks are awesome a Hi-Carbon chemically sharpened hook that should have a warning label on it because they are so super sharp, these hooks are a black nickel colour and super strong. Backroad Mapbooks

Looking for a new fishing spot? Whether it be lakes, river or ocean fishing you are seeking Backroad Mapbooks will get you there. The Province is broken down region by region allowing for very good detailed maps making getting to your destination easy and stress free. Not only do the Backroad Mapbooks have maps but write ups on different lakes, streams, ocean hot spots, hunting information, trails and camping information. In addition to the map books and a great secondary purchase is the Fishing books, these lack the detailed maps but offer topographical maps of different lakes and rivers along with very detailed descriptions of the types of fish available, fishing methods that are productive, stocking reports, directions on how to get to the body of water and what type of facilities are available. UTC Fly Tying Thread

UTC fly tying thread has become one of our most popular threads in the past couple of years we have about 26 different colours to choose from in two different sizes. The 140 size would be similar to a 6/0 size in other manufactures and the 70 size is the thinner diameter similar to the 8/0 size. This thread is incredibly strong so a great option if you're a little heavy handed on the pressure, there's nothing more frustrating than having your thread snap mid fly UTC no doubt reduces this frustration. Along with being strong the way that it lays out when wrapping is heads and shoulders above the other threads out there. Vexilar Deptherm Thermometer

Knowledge of water temperature can be a key to being a successful stillwater angler. With a extremely hot season well under way knowing temperatures at what depth in the lake is going to be increasingly important and the Vexilar Deptherm thermometer is head an shoulders over a regular thermometer. The Deptherm tells you the temperature at a specific depth and keeps the reading for you so you will know exactly what that temperature is at what depth, very cool. Scotty Bait Board

A well organized and clean boat can be the key to success. This can be easier said than done in a limited work space. Grip Studs

With the increased popularity of the Vibram soles on wading boots the need to put cleats (studs) into the bottom is an important addition to the boots to increase the grip on slippery rocks.
