it wasn't just 1 or 2 things. It was a wide arrangement of things. it went from garbage everywhere right through to watching several people fish in the closed area below the hatchery, saw a fist fight over a spot and always lots of yelling and cursing, the way fish are treated there, people keeping illegally caught fish........etc.  :'(  :'(

I know you can walk and get away from the majority of the stupid stuff which we tried to do but never found any decent spots without hoards of people. I know this same stuff goes on on other streams/rivers as well but at least there you can normally get away from it by doing some hiking.

lots of people love fishing the Capilano, its just not for me. I do however like fishing just outside the mouth of the river but also havent bothered in years when there is better/more enjoyable fishing closer to me

Kalex - you meaning me ?

of course the ethics and fish mishandling irritates me however there was alot more than that, like garbage along the river banks/path/floating downriver. It was just a mass of everything combined that turned me away from that river.

im sure we all have places that we avoid and that river is the main one for me. A buddy of mine asks me every year to hit the Cap with him, i politely decline and he knows why but he still continue to ask. I think he is hoping to catch me in a moment of weakness eventualy LoL

I can relate to everything your saying, I to had a buddy who wanted me to get into it at the Cap and when I went with him a couple of times it turned out to be everything I go fishing to get away from!!
