Just wonder i realize some people use baitcasting reel to fish for salmon in the river, while some using centerpin, i know that centerpin is basicly just let the line flow fluently along the river, and baitcasting do the same job as  well a except it has a drag systom. And baitcasting is a lot cheaper then centerpin in entry level. Is there any other advantage that uses centerpin instead of baitcasting? thank you

There is absolutely no practical advantage to using a centrepin over a baitcaster.
When it comes to float fishing for freshwater salmon, it all boils down to personal preference. Beyond that, a baitcaster is much more versatile than a centrepin. You can use a baitcaster for all sorts of applications in all types of water (rivers, lakes, ocean). With a centrepin you are pretty much limited to float fishing.

I would argue that the center pin is more effective in slow moving water like down in the Vedder canal. The line comes off the reel much faster and smoother in slow moving water, 1 revolution on a 4 inch centerpin is approx 12-14 inches of line, 1 revolution on a 5600 abu is 4-6 inches which is about 50%. I would then argue that the levelwind is more effective in fast moving water like boulder runs, pocket water and like Milo said, more versitile. The best reel is one of each.
