Pontoon
« on: April 20, 2013, 09:16:00 AM »

I'm thinking of getting a pontoon for small lakes/rivers.  Anybody have suggestions/comments on them?  I do not want to break the bank, and I'll most likely look at finding a used one to see if its something I like before I commit to something new.  As of right now I use a float tube (outcast), I'm looking for an upgrade but unfortunately I have no room to store a jon boat so I'm going with the alternative.  Thanks in advance for the help!

Outcast is the most recognized name. Often available used. If you can find one with urethane bladders that's better than vinyl - stronger and easier to repair. This one on Craig's List might be worth checking out:

thats a pretty good price for that pontoon. I think that style is around $900 new. I had a Fishcat 9-IR and my dad still has his and we loved them. I only sold mine so i could get a small punt because i wanted a little more space and relaxation of a boat

HOOK - selling the punt soon to help fund a 12' Jon so i can take my kids fishing
