Alta Lake Loch-Style Fly Fishing Competition - Sunday July 21, 2013Competition #3 of the 2013 Summer Series

This venue offers some incredible/spectacular fishing for wild rainbows and cutthroat trout. We'll be using a draw system for this particular competition, which will see the team mates being split-up and fishing with 2 different competitors during the two, 3-hour sessions of this competition. This should make things a lot more interesting and allow competitors the opportunity to observe and learn from others. Parents and their children or spouses will have the option to fish together and forgo the draw if they wish to fish together in the same boat.
Most of the competitors will be making a day trip out of this, but some of us will be staying over night in Whistler with our wives, so why not plan to bring your wife or significant other along for the adventure and a little pampering as well. A nice dinner on Saturday night, and the guys go fishing while the wives go shopping in the Village the next day - what more could you ask for! There are also some less expensive options for accommodations that can be found in nearby town of Squamish, and camping at several of the nearby campgrounds.
