anyone try those electronic mosquito repellents that you clip on your belt?........Gimmick?

I used one this year up at Roche in May and didn't get bit all weekend, but then they were not very thick yet.

What sorta flies should be used up on the skagit to get into the bulls?
..  Im planning on making my first trip there soon. Wouldn't mind having a little luck.

Anything big and ugly looking. Big streamers or wooly buggers work great clousers and othe minnow imitations. Get it down deep and they should bite

Everyone tells me it's rare not to have a touch of breeze when you're standing in the river, but we had a day where there was no breeze.  So go take a leak and get followed by the minions back into the water.  Freaking sucked big time.  No pun intended.  I picked up one of those buzzers and will try it this year.  I also got a bug proof shell  from MEC.  Dude told me that he used it in Fernie on hikes and they didn't get through it.  We'll see... the skagit skeeters are relentless.

that's the idea yeah. but that trip, the Bush had lots, but at least I could get whacked by branches and they would get off. in the stream, I was eaten alive.

Olive and white Zuddlers work really well for bulls since they imitate the sculpins the bulld are eating.
