GPS fixing...
« on: June 01, 2004, 06:01:12 PM »

While on the subject of a GPS, a few weeks ago I managed to drop a 10lb downrigger weight on the unit (don't ask how...). It still works perfectly well, but there is a crack in the screen. I want to get it fixed before I head the the QCIs for the summer (July 2nd). It's an eTrex Legend, and I'm worried that salt and other crap will build up in the crack causing further damage.

Anyone know where I can fix just the screen ?

Spudcote...Im not sure if they will do the repair, but they might be able to point you in the right direction. Try Nikka Industries in Richmond 604 271 6332, Just get anyone in the electronics department.

Good luck.
