The males don't seem to be hitting the lure too hard.  The one I caught was 4lbs, and I could barely feel it on the line.  As I reeled it in, then it started to run.  The bumps on the line are light nibbles or fish hitting your lure.  Slow down your retrieve and give your rod a few light flicks.

Took lunch break and fished Langley area. Not a big crowd and seems nobody was having fish by the beach. Saw a few fish rolled in the shallow. But they didn't want to take my small croc spoon or small pink holographic buzz bomb. I took my limit on Saturday & Sunday but today looks to be a slow day with less fish in the river. Of course, some champ might have slayed the fish earlier the day but noon was slow.

has anyone tried fishing the North Arm Fraser for pinks yet this season and if yes any hook-ups, and landed? This might be an option for peeps that want to escape the crowded south dike road in Richmond.

Fished Brownsville Bar this afternoon.  Packed full again, but no luck.  Didn't see anyone landing fish.

Only fished an hour at most at 4. Saw maybe 3 fish the entire time. All of them quite a ways away, no where shore accessible without 2 oz betties and a musket.

They must have mopped up because it was dead slow on no.5 road between 5 and 7:30 when it should have been on fire.

What 8 Seiners??!! thats crazy.  Can anyone shed some light on how long the Commercial fishery is open for pinks and how long the seiners may be around.  I know sounds like a silly question I guess I am just tired of being out there for 7 days straight and being skunked, then hearing about these 8 seiners just got me a little annoyed.

it sounds like slim pickings until the commercial fishermen stop fishing, and when they finally stop, chances are the pink run will be over, or most have been netted by the seiners,  too bad for most of us who haven't caught at least one yet!   >:(
