Anyone here target pinks with spoons with a baitcasting reel such as an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur?

Advantage or disadvantage?

To me, I like it because I don't have to worry much about line twist.

Do you raise the rod slowly, and lower it, giving the line slack, retrieve technique?

What type of fishing line were you using and what lb test?

Retrieve technique I use in the ocean but not for pinks tried it every now and then no effect just a some what slow retrieve and they nail it , fishing line is a good question was just thinking about that few days ago I loaded up braided for my first time 30 lb just cause its so freaking small and I want my leader to break on any snags first , 15lb mono leader ya I dreaming of a spring, absolutely love the braided can feel every hit , bite , probe , just close the bailer manually stops 85% of wind knots

That's really interesting, as that's why people use Buzz Bombs in the first place due to the unique spinning action when it descends. I guess the pinks are attacking your lure due to the slow retrieve and the hot pink colour.

In that case, I'm not rushing to buy any new lures yet.

You're using a spinning reel right?

yes spinning real , buzz bomb still has a nice looking action on a steady retrieve I was using 1/4 and 3/8 pink croc spoons did so so but BB's kept out fishing them , they all work just have to get the speed down right for the lure

I haven't fished a buzz bomb for a long time, but it's good to know that it's more effective than croc spoons.
