For that area i notice most of the action happens on the outgoing tide like many others have noticed also .
9am -12pm would have been better time for that location in my past exprience in the last 8 times i fished there
most of my hook ups would happen around the outgoing shift .

And nothing at 4rd or 5rd , 6:30 to 10am looks like the run is in its last hours in Richmond , FN did not even set nets last night as far as I saw , what do they know?

Surrey area was totally dead in the afternoon to late evening yesterday. If FN did not set nets yesterday, where are the fish? Are the major runs done now and we are only fishing stragglers?

Was out this morning at 4rd-5rd between 8am and 11am. Managed to land a nice chrome doe on a large chrome/red spinner around 9:30am. My buddy got into one but his knot slipped and lost it. That was it for the day.
I saw 2 FN Boats heading down stream while I was there.

I really hope the pink season isn't over yet...

Good luck :)

I landed my first pink salmon today and it took me only ten minutes of casting my spinner.

It wasn't as nice as the silver coloured pink that I hooked and lost yesterday.

There was a bit of a tug-a-war type of fight, but luckily I bought a new spinning reel and braided line which helped a lot!

There was a old couple that saw me hook the fish and they were giving me directions as if I'm a total newbie, but I've landed big salmon before, but it was only that today I landed my first pink salmon. The lady's husband helped me with his net which was very nice.

was today between 2-3 rd, from 3 to 6 PM. One guy landed one chrome, another guy had one hit but lost the fish. Nothing else, very quiet overall.

Was this at No. 5 Road?  I saw the old couple at around 3pm today.
No sign of fish anywhere when I was there.
I did not fish but went there to check out if any sign of pinks.
It's been quiet at No. 5 Road.

Used 2 1/2" hot pink BB today and had nothing hooked. Very frustrated. I cast the BB and has followed Rod's instruction - retrieve it right away with medium speed. Did I do anything wrong?

I was out at #3 Road between 4pm-5pm and it actually was pretty active there. My buddy used a bright color spoon and has three bites in an hour.  All were very solid bites but he lost all of them couple of feet away from him when he tried to land them.

Some days they work, other days they don't.

Very true , I notice sometimes they ignore the BB but will hit a 1/4 croc more somedays.
Then the bites turns on for the BB! You just gotta switch it up .

If Buzz Bombs and spoons don't seem to work, I recommend using spinners.

One really has to try a variety of lures with different retrieve speeds.

For me, I discovered that pinks like to hit lures close to the shore, so there's no need to stand way out in the pier and cast another 50 or more feet.
