I thought of that but it's a bit too late for that. Gotta love the Print Screen key on my keyboard!

The spotting on the full tail actually makes it look like a chinook.  Coho's only have spots on the upper part of the tail.  Is there even such a thing as a hatchery chinook?  Its definitely a hatchery fish with the adipose fin missing.

That's what I initially thought too but then I noticed a whitish shade in the gum area. I really hope that I'm wrong here. I really do!! :-\
Waiting for the experts to chime in... :)
BTW, even if it's a coho, it won't be the end of the world. Opportunities for others to learn and relearn about updated regs and knowing their fish...

I know the close of coho and the bait ban for salmon. It was white gum and white tongue, no teeth behind the tongue, tail was spotted from top to bottom, not forked. I got it by a 3/16 oz Gibbs cros.

I am 100% sure that's no pink.  Maybe its a Japanese nuclear mutant 8)  Like Rod said, if in doubt, let it go.  I wouldn't keep it knowing it is a hatchery fish, and the off chance it is a Coho.

Is there any updates to the Fraser River Pink return in terms of numbers last I heard was 26 million fish were coming through but I had heard maybe they were gonna up that number too.  Just curious because Im pretty sure the bulk of the run has gone through but from what I am seeing in the richmond area there are still lots of pinks rolling through.

Ive been driving by every day before work in the afternoons and even though I am unable cast my line most of the time however I do stick around for a bit check out the water and to be honest there is still pinks rolling through, I guess its more on timing.

I would also agree that I don't think it's a coho, the only other possibility I can come up with is perhaps a hatchery steelhead?  ???

I would also agree that timing is key, hard to say but I think there are still a few stragglers that are coming in and hopefully there are a few more good days before the run tapers off.  ;D

He did say white gums white mouth now that's not a spring , only leaves steelhead and tail spots kind of look to be in uniform rows

Not a coho either with a white tongue. Need to see the anal fin better to confirm is a steelhead. Sandman thinks Hook must be loving this!
