Any way to avoid sculpin while bar fishing with roe along the fraser?

Should I just find a different spot? 

Well either way, they had a good dinner with chum spring and pink roe ( trying out different ones).

I had the same prob today. I would think roe bags would help because it may be a little too big as a hole chunk in a bag but they do have pretty big mouths. Maybe casting fitter out because I would think they scavenger a bit closer to shore to avoid being sturgeon bait.

IMO there is no way to totally avoid sculpins using roe.

just make a little sign and get it laminated. stick it on the line a few inches above the hook that says For Salmon Consumption Only.

Pretty much. Practically everything in the fraser will steal roe. I guess it's better a skulpin then hooking a sturgeon who breaks cupcakes and leaves you empty handed...

Where i fish they are lots of them ,they seem to hit on anything .They are a bottomfeeder ,so I try to keep my lures/bait off the bottom .They dont seem to follow your offering unless its right in front of them ,near the bottom.

add tiny led lights then which will also aid in bringing in the salmon

I have decided to try and behead a scuplin and hang it from the bar as well to ward off these buggers!

it worked in Lord of the Flies so why not the Fraser River  LoL

We have discussed doing this with snagger/flossers heads at the river but I think they hear us and stay away
