I went to Deer Lake to do some fishing from the shore. The water condition was poor: fresh explosive diarrhea, green smoothie, and Campbell's beef broth from the can all mixed into one lake is the best description. Also, there was a ton of underwater vegetation which was probably caused by the fertilization from the bird/duck poop. Due to the yucky conditions, there were no other fishermen in the entire lake! However, the lake was filled of boat users and I had to be careful of my casting.
I caught two largemouth bass in total in 45 minutes of fishing.
During the first 20 minutes, I landed a skinny 5 inch largemouth and it didn't turn any heads from the park users.
Fifteen minutes later, I caught a fat 15 inch largemouth bass which didn't fight too hard; it didn't jump and it just did some lazy flopping around. I have to say that the stocked rainbow trout fight much harder than these largemouths at Deer Lake. The fish had classic largemouth colours of green and light brown and there were about a half dozen people taking photos of the fish. They were just shocked to see fish existed in the disgusting looking water conditions.
