deer lake bass

Anybody been to deer lake(burnaby) for bass lately?Im going by there in a couple days so just wanna know if i should go there or not.

Fishing is good in summer/early fall but not really worth fishing right now.

If its a destructive species, wouldn't that be MORE reason to fish for it, not less?

Water temperature could b an issue. If it's too cold probably not worth it. Trout maybe better choice in there.

Move back East where Bass is an actual species that has respect. Here on the West coast, they are a destructive species invading our lakes and river systems displacing our cherished native trout and salmon. Clubs like this that promote this destructive species and in some cases transplant live bass into certain waterways to provide a Bass fishery should be banned. Yuck  >:(
