FN0080-Licensing Information - Recreational Fisheries - 2014-2015 Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence Information

The following information applies to 2014-2015 Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licences:

For the 2014-2105 season, all licences will be delivered electronically through the National Recreational Licensing System (NRLS) in accordance with Government of Canada priorities and the modernization of licensing services.  Licences can be purchased via any computer connected to the internet at https://www-ops2.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/nrls-sndpp/index-eng.cfm or by using Google search key words "Recfish Licence".

Licences can also be purchased through participating vendors; a list of current vendors may be found at
http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/licence-permis/vendors-vendeurs-eng.pdf. It is recommended that you confirm purchasing your licence with a vendor prior to departure.

New Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licences and Salmon Conservation Stamps for the 2014-2015 season will be available for purchase in mid-March 2014, but you may register now to familiarize yourself with the system or purchase a licence and stamp for the current year (which ends March 31, 2014).  Once you register, you will also be able to replace a lost licence or renew future licences through NRLS.

For non-residents who wish to fish for halibut in Areas 23, 121, or 123, a licence must be acquired from a vendor in Canada.

Refunds will not be issued for licences purchased on-line, so please ensure your licence selection (including the fishing year) is correct before you complete your transaction.
