I see many damsels in distress here in Thailand. I'm running out of money helping them all. 8) ;)

That's great!

I could just imagine one guy filming while two people in the background are frantically getting their rods set up.

That was something else.

Their fly fishing movie looks one to watch out for too. http://vimeo.com/sharptailmedia

As I said on another forum where this was first posted...

I love Vimeo productions when internet is fast enough to load it properly. That doesn't always happen in Thailand.

I watched exactly the same thing in a shallow bay on a small, New Zealand lake while fishing with my friend. The trout would only take the flying dragonflies and nothing that landed on the surface. Finally, out of frustration I suggested that Larry and I tie our lines together and tight-line them across the little bay,  with one of my realistic patterns dangling off a short leader. It took a while, but eventually the trout jumped up and grabbed the fly. Larry and I were laughing so hard we almost lost the fish.  I have a picture of that Brown, but I sure wish I had a video. With today's multi use cameras I would have.

Thia is a photo of the fish, but not the one with our lines tied together. I had to let out line while Larry reeled it in.
