apparently they can get 10,000 dollars with enough votes, and you can vote daily.

There is a button to press to resend the confirmation email. I got mine right away too. Also, check your spam folder if you have one.

Somehow I managed to log in via my LinkedIn account.  I think you can also do this through Facebook and Twitter accounts.

I wouldn't take the view count too seriously. I've viewed it a few times today already, but can only vote once a day. Also read it on another forum, as some members will. The ratio of views to votes will fall as time goes on, because a lot of it will be repeat viewers, viewing new posts. ;)
