BC spent 7-8 billion & Russia 50 billion ( something like that ) to put on Winter Games. ( extra security as there have been bomb threats )

From what I've seen everyone is having a great time.
As mentioned ,nice to see Canada doing so well.
Hope the Jamaican bobsled team gets a metal.  ;D

Russian pair skaters did a amazing performance!
Amazed at the skills needed & determination in these events.

Not to mention one mistake & a serious injury or death can happen.

Looking forward to the men's hockey.
Personally think Canada will get a bronze at best.

Even Peter Nedved ( ex Canuck. ) will play.
He's in his 40s.
If he does well maybe he could help the Canucks for a few months.
Good play maker.

Hopefully no terror plot will take place.

The opening ceremony was "super".

Odds are they will get a "metal". No chance of getting a "medal" though. ;)

Did I spell Peter Nedved correctly?

Guessed on that spelling. ;D

Canada wins today in hockey over Norway.
Score could of been higher but the Norway goalie is talented.
Sign that sucker up as we need another goalie soap opera in Vancouver.
Only this time have 3 Canuck goalies wanting ice time.

Tell ya one thing the bigger ice surface really makes for 10x more exciting play.
Room to skate, pass, play make, & if a player decides to burst out in high energy & try to get in the clear & rip a full slap shot.

NHL would be well advised to go with the same sized ice surface.

Canada will face the winner of Switzerland/Latvia, Finland will face the winner of Russia/Norway. Doughty has been playing extremely well, 4 goals in 3 games.

Tv sports only showed pics of an event because of copyright.

Even a restaurant in the Vancouver area had to change their outdr advertising sign because of copyright.
Sign had some "rings".

The IOC sometimes go overboard in trying to protect their copyright. Remember the Olympia pizza ?

Yes that's the one I was referring to. Guess should of posted in the Vancouver area.
Think it may be located in Burnaby or N Van. ( possibly in Vancouver )
That sign was there 1st before 2010.
IOC has big stomping feet.

Weird part is  >:(there is so much counterfeit products in stores now & it's even so big a problem the gov. can not put a bent to curb it one bit.
Even some parts were in the US Pres. helicopter & Airforce 1 plane.
Watches,electronics,batteries,toothpaste,hand bags,jackets,& even medications.

Copyright on that stuff but counterfeits sold openly in stores.
Seen a tv news show recently on the subject.

If Canada wins the Gold medal in hockey they better check if it's a fake  :-\
Heard something about that meteor that fell in Russia that shattered windows & landed in a lake has had some bits of it put into medals.
Some or maybe all.
That definitely would make them extra unique & special .

Canada dominated Latvia this morning and won a hard earned 2-1 victory. The Latvian goalie was simply outstanding.

Russia is out.

Those Finnish players really skate full speed & do not let up for 60 minutes. They just "fly".
Sweden vs Fins

Canada vs USA.
US team is very strong & it could go either way.
Same for Sweden & Fins game. Toss up.

That Latvia goalie nearly pulled a King Richard B. ( ex Canuck goalie who got the team to the finals back in the 80s )

Russian hockey players & fans must be so disappointed. OUCH !
