Would you eat this?
« on: March 05, 2014, 02:15:52 PM »

Stopped by superstore to do some shopping. Had a look at
the live rainbow trout they had for sale and saw this.

I certainly wouldn't buy this.

This is just plain ugly!!!! Also very poor management on the stores part. I would bonk the fish and fire the fish Dept. Manager!!!

Which store?
Definitely bad quality control and the water isn't being very helpful for the next batch of pellet fed protein guised as fresh fish.

It looks like that one got away from the Mill Lake pike. Lucky to be a survivor and living in much cleaner waters. Kind of a nice retirement home.

I wouldn't knowingly eat this poor thing but if it made its way to a restaurant and into a dish, nobody would be the wiser.

The way things are headed, I'll be surprised if we won't be drooling over a fish in that fine condition after we're no longer allowed to retain fish caught on a rod.  :'(

frig no I wouldn't feed that to my dog. that thing needs to be filleted and put on sale tho, it would sell within hours likely. and the fishes dignity or whats left can be spared any more suffering...
a pretty good example of poor management right here. imo that fishes condition on display like that is an embarrassment to that superstore and it\s managers.
