Fisherman's Shack lure parts
« on: March 26, 2014, 09:35:33 PM »

Hi, I was wondering if anybody on the forum has experience ordering from fishermans shack?  I am curious because i would like to try making my own spinners and they have good quality products and good prices. It would cost about $2 for each genuine silver spinners vs spending $5.25 on a trophy tackle or a blue fox spinner.  And when i am losing 2-4 spinners per day it can add up.  I can ship the stuff to the border so it being located in Oregon doesn't matter.  I just wanted to see if anybody could provide any in site or experience with this relatively unknown company.  Here is a link to their website http://www.fishermanshack.net/Salmon-Steelhead-Trout-Spinner-Building-Componets-c4/

I've heard of them but never ordered anything their products are almost all imported and there are a number of retailers who sell similar lines including this Canadian outfit.

Making your own spinners is easy and Yes much cheaper.

I have checked out that site many times, the big issue is that they don't carry genuine silver french blades, and those are the type of spinners I want to make.  I would like to support canadian shops but since i can't find any that sell real silver plated french blades for anything close to a decent price, i am looking south of the border.
