Mouth of gold creek
« on: July 18, 2014, 03:09:39 PM »

Hey guys, wanna get my kids out fishing this weekend and we are going to be camping at alouette. I know that there is some fish around the mouth of gold creek, but not sure what to use to fish for them. Lures? Worms? Power bait?  Kids are 8 and 5 so what do you guys think would work best. Don't care what we get, just want to hopefully get into something
Thanks, Dave

We will be down at the main beach area by the boat launch too.

I think you may have better luck at Mike lake nearby, it is I think stocked with trout and there is a small dock.
Otherwise I would try some kind of bait like eggs under a float or small spinners with powerbait.
If you can rent a canoe try trolling flies also.

Only problem with mike lake is it doesn't get stocked in summer, and when it does get stocked I'm sure most of the fish get plucked out pretty quick
