Hi I have really been try to catch some crappie recently but to no avail. I tried whonnock with worms, jigs and gulp crappie nibbles under a bobber and also some soft plastics I tried both docks and even rented a boat but didn't even get a bite. Is there anywhere else I could go and how should I target them. Any help would be much appreciated. Also I'm going to try at Minnekhada Slough tommorow if anyone has any info on how to target crappie there it would be much appreciated.

u must find some sort of structure or cover in the water. they like to ambush their prey, fishing for them along open section of a weedy/lily pad or log will do wonders. if you find one, u'll bound to find a whole school of them. never heard of stokes pit either

Stokes pit aka Latimer. 192 and 28 ave area of Surrey. Didn't know it was still fishable.

Exactly, catch over 50 in one morning.

I was very surprised that I wasn't getting any bites at whonnock (cause of how productive I heard it was). I fished around the lily pads form the docks and the boat I also tried by the beaver den. Funny thing was there where a few other fishermen targeting both trout and crappie (mostly crappie) but everyone I talked to had also gotten skunked that day. (is it possible it was just a bad day)

Don't laugh but if you are into Catch and Release and not going to keep any, Trout Lake in Vancouver has them and carp and still the very odd trout.

I went to trout lake a few days ago cause I'm close the fishing was vera slow only caught 1 pumpkinseed but perhaps I wasn't doing it right I was using shrimp and a bobber (as I couldn't get worms last minute) how would and where would you recommend catching them on trout. (Also I'm 100%

The ones at Whonnock have been ridiculously easy to catch with a small hook, small piece of worm and a bobber in few experiences there.  Cast right towards the weed edges.

I went to minnekhada no crappie   or even bass just a bunch of pumpkinseed sunfish with worms under a bobber by the weeds by the bridge. (I didn't even know they where in there)
