New to bar fishing
« on: August 13, 2014, 11:21:00 AM »

Recently picked up fishing, have gone mainly for trout with some mild luck. I have a few questions here.

1. A brief explanation of bar fishing and its techniques.
2. An example of a good setup for fishing a bar.
3. Locations around the lower mainland to practice. ( I am from Richmond)

Thanks very much.

Also some videos. The bar fishing technique for the non-tidal portion of the Fraser River is not the same as the tidal portion.

Non-tidal: http://www.fishingwithrod.com/video/how_to_fish/fraser_river_bar_fishing.html

Tidal: http://www.fishingwithrod.com/video/how_to_fish/tidal_fraser_bottom_setup.html

I think I'll head to Berry's Bait to get a setup this weekend.
