Hit several different spots today. Water is extremely clear. Saw several springs rising in some faster water. No luck however despite a whole days worth of effort.

Need another good rain.

Water level bumped up by a few inches yesterday but on the drop once again. Clarity remains very good.

Went out yesterday, hooked into 5 and only landed 1 (Male chum). Saw 1 hatchery coho landed and lots of chum with a few springs.

Went out today, hooked 1 and lost it. Saw 2 coho landed but were both wild's. Lots of fish in the area, but quite a bit slower.

Those are mostly going to other systems though. Seems the Chedder gets most of its Chum much later for some reason.

In hindsight, it appeared the chum were in abundance because they jump a lot.

Definitely. During the last two outings, there were perhaps a couple of coho salmon showing themselves while chum and chinook salmon could be seen everywhere. The hook-ups suggested that there were a lot more coho in the water than what it appeared. When the run density is not that heavy, coho salmon will stay stealthy and move through the runs quickly when given the opportunity.

Went out today, hooked 3 but none landed (All chum). Lots of chum and springs in the system, only seen 1 coho all day and it got bonked.
